
The Vegetation Managers Forum will also see Russell Warner present in the Natural Areas room. Russell will provide a critical review of auditing and reporting tools for Natural Resource Manager. This is a topic should be extremely interesting and insightful for all.
Previously employed by Local government, Russell has developed and implemented several operational plans, budgets and supervised major on-ground works for Technigro. In his previous role with Local government Russell prepared and delivered a number of significant management projects for linear utility providers in North Queensland such as the Dept of Transport and Main Roads and Powerlink. These projects involved all aspects of vegetation management such as GIS mapping, strategic planning, budgeting, resourcing and reporting.
Russell has a strong background in surveying. He commenced his professional career in the Royal Australian Navy Hydrographic Service as a survey recorder. He subsequently acquired his tertiary qualification in the Environmental Sciences and received formal training in the use of GIS. Russell has since applied these skills and qualifications to develop a number of systems capable of delivering user-friendly vegetation management information.
